Salesforce stands out as a preeminent customer relationship management (CRM) software for flourishing enterprises due to its copious features, wide array of third-party integrations, and flexible customization and add-on options.

After successful implementation, Salesforce delivers a visually stunning product that operates at lightning speed, boasting an unparalleled level of potency and tailoring that precisely aligns with a company’s particular processes. Such versatility and more renders this CRM system an optimal solution for expanding businesses grappling with multifarious and constantly evolving demands.

Why We Chose Salesforce

When it comes to customer relationship management (CRM) software, Salesforce stands out as a well-known and respected provider, known for its established community and recognized leadership in the field. Initially designed to meet the needs of large enterprises, Salesforce has since broadened its offerings to include streamlined options that are more accessible and cost-effective for small and growing businesses.

What truly sets Salesforce apart is its unparalleled level of customization. No other CRM vendor offers the same level of options for tailoring the software to suit specific business processes. While the initial setup may require a significant investment of time and IT expertise, the resulting product is sure to meet the ever-changing needs of growing businesses.

In addition to customization, Salesforce offers a wide range of features, automation options, and comprehensive reports that help businesses gain insights into their customers and operations. As companies evolve, Salesforce has the flexibility to grow and adapt with them, making it an ideal choice for businesses looking to invest in a CRM solution that can accommodate their unique needs.

All of these factors, combined with Salesforce’s reputation for reliability and excellence, make it our top choice for growing businesses seeking a CRM software solution.

Salesforce Pricing

Salesforce’s Sales Cloud CRM is available for purchase through four different subscription tiers: Essentials, Professional, Enterprise, and Unlimited. While Essentials is available on a month-to-month basis, the other plans require an annual contract. It’s worth noting that business owners looking for flexible pricing options may want to consider reading our review of Freshworks.

The subscription costs listed below are based on annual billing:

Essentials

Price: $25 per user per month; available for up to 10 users

Features: Account, contact, lead, task and opportunity management; lead auto-assignment; prevention of duplicates; automatic capture of lead’s available web information; mass email; marketing campaigns; customizable reports and dashboards; email integration with Gmail and Outlook; and Salesforce mobile app

Professional

Price: $75 per user per month

Features: Everything in the Essentials plan, plus pipeline management, lead registration, rules-based lead scoring, collaborative forecasting and forecasting mobile app, quote and order management, roles and permissions, and developer sandbox

Enterprise

Price: $150 per user per month

Features: Everything in the Professional plan, plus workflow and approval automation, sales teams and territories, opportunity scoring, and advanced reporting

Unlimited

Price: $300 per user per month

Features: Everything in the Enterprise plan, plus sales engagement hub, AI-powered sales insights with Einstein, sales cadences, and 24/7 support

It’s important to note that the Salesforce CRM is a vast and customizable product, and as such, the subscription costs listed here are merely starting points. Depending on the specific needs of a business, it is possible to spend considerably more on the system. For instance, CPQ & Billing, which enables you to quickly configure, price and quote complex solutions, costs $75 per user per month. Other add-ons, such as Pardot, Quip, Einstein AI, and Sales Dialer, are all sold separately. Additionally, there are extra costs if you opt for training or help with implementation.

Compared to other CRM systems we reviewed, Salesforce’s pricing is relatively high. Several other SaaS products offer free versions and low-cost, entry-level subscriptions that can be used indefinitely. While $25 per user per month may seem reasonable, it only supports up to 10 users and is therefore not a sustainable option for most small businesses in the long run. The next plan starts at $75 per user per month, which is considerably more expensive than the competition. At the very least, we recommend taking advantage of Salesforce’s 14-day trial to assess whether this CRM is worth the investment for your business.
